One of interesting localities visited during our trip to Georgia were vast steppes located south of Kasristskali (კასრისწყალი) village in Kakheti Region of Eastern Georgia. This arid hilly region (altitude 500-600 m), characterized by its dry climate, are notable for its unique, bad-land-like landscape covered by desert and semi-desert steppe vegetation.
