Mgr. Jakub Hauser

Co-investigator for the grant project The Image of the Enemy: Visual Manifestations of Antisemitism in the Czech Lands from the Middle Ages to the Present, NAKI II (2018–2021).

Jakub Hauser studied art history and Lithuanian studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (MA 2009) and currently works on his Ph.D. at the same faculty. After a brief employment with the National Museum as part of the ATHENA project (Access to cultural heritage networks across Europe) between 2010 and 2011, he worked in the photo archive of the Jewish Museum in Prague (2011-2014). Since 2015, he has been the curator of art collections at the Museum of Czech Literature. There, he organized the exhibition František Bidlo-Homo politicus (2015) and co-curated the exhibition Zkušenost exilu (2017), while participating in the corresponding NAKI II project as part of which he prepared the exhibition catalogue and collective monograph Příběhy exilu (2018, along with Věra Velemanová). He is currently co-curating the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Czech Literature.
