My basic field of activity is an elemental analysis of metals, alloys, coatings and surface-modified materials by Glow Discharge Optical Emission Spectroscopy (GD-OES). This involves practical analyses to support the research activities of other groups and also the relevant methodology development. In this context, I am interested in the analysis of atomic spectra, excitation/ionization mechanisms and collisional-radiative models in glow discharges and related low-temperature non-equilibrium plasmas.
