Abstract:
The project is focused to the preparation of materials with application as sensing materials for optical gas sensors working at elevated/high temperatures and harsh conditions for control of combustion and industrial processes. These fully inorganic materials will be based on zeolites and related molecular sieves hosting transition metal (TM) ions in framework and extra-framework positions with local arrangement defined on atomic level. To select proper candidates for sensor application, screening study of the interaction of various metallo-zeolites and metallo-alumophosphates with target molecules (as NO, NO2, N2O, O2, NH3, H2O, CO, various organic compounds, etc.) will be realized at ambient temperature. The temperature dependence of the interaction target molecule - TM ion as well as the system response and corresponding adsorption and desorption properties of perspective systems will be investigated.
