Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia despite substantial efforts to develop improved treatments. Emerging research findings indicate proteostasis derailment as driving causative mechanism of AF and key modulators may act as druggable and diagnostic targets for future AF management.
