The database zbMATH contains more than 4 million bibliographic entries with reviews or abstracts currently drawn from more than 3,000 journals and serials, and 180,000 books from all areas of pure mathematics as well as applications, in particular to the natural sciences, computer science, economics and engineering. The coverage starts in the 18th century and is complete from 1868 to the present by the integration of the Jahrbuch über die Fortschritte der Mathematik database.
The first three results of every search in zbMATH are displayed for free. The access to full-featured version is provided for subscribers and for the Cooperating Institutions.
swMATH is a novel information service for mathematical software associated with zbMATH. It offers open access to a comprehensive database with information on mathematical software and provides a systematic collection of references to software-relevant mathematical publications.
Over 100,000 new entries are included in zbMATH every year. About 7,000 active expert reviewers from all over the world contribute reviews to zbMATH. In general, every trained mathematician is very welcome to become a zbMATH reviewer in his/her specific research field. If you wish to become a reviewer please contact us: zbl@math.cas.cz. You can choose to cooperate either with the Prague Editorial Unit or with the editorial office in Berlin.
