Laboratory of Pathological Plant Physiology is a part of the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Main research topics of the lab these days are plant defence reactions after infection with pathogenic fungi or bacteria focused on the role of phytohormone signalling. Molecular mechanisms of the infections are being studied in several different pathosystems: oilseed rape (Brassica napus) – Leptosphaeria maculans, thale cress (Arabidopsis thaliana) – Pseudomonas syringae / Hyaloperonospora arabidopsidis / Botrytis cinerea.
