Scientific positions: Researcher, Postdoctoral Fellow, Doctoral Student, or Research Assistant within the DEZINFO project - Ref. No. 2025/10

Scientific positions are available in the project “Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI: Dangerous Phenomenon through the Prism of Modern Human Sciences” at the Institute of Computer Science, Prague (Czech Republic). These positions are part of a larger, interdisciplinary consortium recently recommended for funding (OP JAK DEZINFO).

The project focuses on the analysis of the creation, dissemination, reception and impact of misinformation using artificial intelligence. It combines methods from social sciences, humanities and natural sciences in 5 synergistic research projects. It targets the linguistic, psychological and social dimensions of misinformation, aiming to create tools for its effective and rapid detection and prevention.

Conditions

  • Positions are available immediately.
  • Contract is for 12-36 months duration, with exceptions negotiable.
  • Possibility of extension until end of project (31.12.2028), support for transition to tenure-track or external funding applications.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, until the positions are filled.
  • Both full-time and part time fixed term contract appointments are negotiable.
  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Bonuses and travel funding for conferences and research stays depending on performance.
  • No teaching duties.

    • Applicants should:

    1. Hold a PhD (apart from Doctoral Student or Research Assistant).
    2. Have a strong background (commensurate to the respective career level) in some of the fields of psychology and cognitive sciences, sociology, computer sciences, computational neuroscience) related to the project topics.
    3. Be fluent in English.
