The objective is to assess the amount of water and pollutant delivered due to cloud, mist and fog water deposition onto the solid obstacle in the urban areas. For this purpose it is necessary to take the samples of water from the low clouds, mist and fogs in the suitably chosen parts of cities in order to be able to work out chemical analyses. For the above presented purpose the special cloud water collectors were constructed. The urban areas are often immersed into the low clouds and mist or fogs but these events especially under the inversion conditions, often do not have sufficient wind to propel the fog through a passive collector Under these conditions an. active collector which provides relative motion between the collection surface (cartridge with teflon strands) and the fog droplets is required. The so called active CWP collector will be installed in the chosen spot of the city. Despite the relative small amount of water delivered via cloud and fog droplets deposition this phenomenon is important from the ecological point of view due to the apparent higher fog and mist ion concentrations as compared to rain.
