Since 1967, the Institute has been organizing every year 1-2 international conferences on polymers, the well-known Prague Meetings on Macromolecules (P.M.M.), mostly under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). So far, seventy two meetings of P.M.M. have been arranged, of them 48 microsymposia, 23 discussion conferences, and 1 ICPS conference.

In 2007, we commemorated 50 years from the first Prague symposium on macromolecules as well as 40 years of P.M.M. series.
