EMAR Training Activity Workshop

will be held in the

Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry,

Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, v.v.i., Prague, Czech Republic

October 8 – 10, 2008

Invited speakers:

The workshop will be organized in the frame of ESF Research Networking Program "Multidisciplinary Frontiers of Magnetic Resonances" (EMAR) and supported by the ESF. The ESF funding will be used to cover accommodation and subsistence for participants in Prague; there will be no registration fee. Number of participants supported in this way is limited.

The workshop is proposed as a meeting of ESRI specialists active in various research fields with graduate students and young scientists that should contribute to the dynamic development of applications of the ESRI technique in the future. Supplying to the participants the information on the power of ESRI in various applications and on experimental equipment available in European laboratories as well as seeking opportunities for cooperation in this field are primary goals of the workshop.

During the workshop lectures will be given by invited speakers on basic principles and experimental arrangement of ESRI experiments, on the mathematical methods required for analysis of experimental data, and on some recent applications of the method. The participants will be given opportunity to present their contributions in a poster session. Electronic version of short abstract of such contribution (200 words at maximum) together with full address of those who are interested in participation should be send to Dr. Jan Pilař, pilar@imc.cas.cz, by May 1, 2008. A decision on support will be announced before July 1, 2008. More particulars on the Workshop could be obtained on request.
