The field laboratory in Nový Knín houses several laboratories of three different departments of the Institute of Thermomechanics – Department of Fluid Dynamics (D1), Department of Thermodynamics (D2) and Department of Environmental Aerodynamics (D5). The laboratories carry out experimental research in the field of internal high-speed flows, heat and mass transfer and environmental aerodynamics.
