Education

· 1993, 1996: B.S. and M.S. in agricultural science Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo, Japan.
· 2002: Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, University of South Bohemia, České Budějovice, Czech Republic.

Research experience

· 1992-1994: Undergraduate student, Department of Agriculture, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Tokyo (Japan). Ecdysteroid synthesis in dissociated cells of the prothoracic gland of the silkworm, Bombyx mori.
· 1994-1996: Visiting scholar, University of Washington, Seattle (USA). Developmental roles of Ecdysone receptor and Ultraspiracle proteins in an insect, Manduca sexta.
· 1997-1999: Visiting scholar, National Institute of Genetics (Japan). Molecular and genetic analyses of a nuclear receptor FTZ-F1 and a novel cofactor MBF1 in Caenorhabditis elegans.
· 1999-2002: Graduate student, Department of Molecular Biology, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic.
· 2002-till now: Researcher, Department of Molecular Parasitology, Institute of Parasitology, Czech Academy of Sciences, Ceske Budejovice. Genetic analyses of transcriptional regulators in C. elegans.
