Characteristics of the Institute
The task of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry AS CR, v. v. i.,
is to pursue basic, target-oriented, and applied research in
chemistry and physics of polymers. The research comprises the
three main areas:
- Biomacromolecular systems
- Dynamics and self-assembling of molecular and
supramolecular polymer structures
- Preparation, characterization and use of new polymeric
systems with controlled structure and properties
An important part of the Institute activity is the Ph.D.
program in polymer science carried out in cooperation with
universities, postdoctoral program as well as teaching and
practical laboratory training of undergraduate students, in
particular within the framework of a newly established

Crosslinked Polymeric Materials
The basic informations and documents of the Institute are
involved in the Register of public research institutions
