The influence of lanthanide family elements (Yt, Er, Ho, Ce) in the growth melt on properties of PbI2 crystals is studied. Silver admixture is studied with respect to presumed impact on the crystal polytype. Crystals will be used in the construction of gamma- and x-ray detectors for medicine and ecology.
