In 2009, UTIA celebrates the 50th anniversary of its foundation. The main celebration, comprising a seminar and a banquet, took place on February 5, 2009, in the Institute. For more about this event in Czech (including slides and video of the seminar) click here.

The program of the Workshop will present selected results of theoretical and applied research in the fields connected with the development of models of uncertain knowledge and their applications to computer aided decision making. The Workshop is a part of activites of the Research Centre Data – Algorithms – Decision Making, which was established in 2005 by Institute of Information Theory and Automation in collaboration with eight other academic and industry research groups under the support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

Doc. RNDr. Sergej Čelikovský, CSc. byl jmenován čestným hostujícím profesorem Univerzity ve Wuhanu, Čína.

Wuhan je metropolí střední Číny ležící na soutoku řek Yangtze a Hanshui. Universita ve Wuhanu (www.whu.edu.cn/en/about/index.html) patří mezi významné čínské university s bohatou tradicí. Jmenování je tak výrazem ocenění dlouholeté vědecké spolupráce ÚTIA a S. Čelikovského s čínskými institucemi a odborníky v oblasti nelineárních dynamických systémů.
