Abstract:

Our present civilization is facing many challenges of the information, postmodern and postindustrial age. The ultimate one is the challenge of a possible post humanist future in which technology becomes active and even autonomous element. The idea of a future that is not entirely in human hands leads to apocalyptic fears and different forms of anxiety. An alternative perspective on the relation between humans and machines is represented by the post humanist philosophy. It understands the interaction of social, technological, biological and other structures as an emergent process that creates new and more complex units. This process alters our views of evolution but even globalization and other ideas of development. My current research focuses on these new socio-technical units and complex events. The goal is to identify and describe them. The questions of global society are posted for this reason in the context of technological acceleration and from the perspective of post humanist

philosophy.
