Postdoctoral position 2009
Astronomical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic intends to open a temporary postdoctoral position in 2009. The applicants (under 40 years age) are expected to have experience in one of the fields studied in the Center for Theoretical Astrophysics affiliated to the Astronomical Institute (see www.asu.cas.cz) and to be holding PhD at the time of job commencement. Independent and collaborative research is expected. Publication activity in scientific astronomical literature is required.
The position can start in September - October 2009, for the duration of one year. The salary will be based on the standard domestic scale.

STARÉ KONKURZY:
Astronomický ústav AV ČR, v.v.i. vypisuje konkurs na místo VŠ pracovníka na období od 1. dubna do 30. září 2009 s možností prodloužení, do skupiny astrofyzika vysokých energií stelárního oddělení. Náplní práce je redukce a zpracování dat z projektu ESA INTEGRAL (palubní experimenty gama teleskop IBIS, rentgenový teleskop JEM-X, optická kamera OMC) a doplňkových dat z pozemních teleskopů (CCD fotometrie).
Požadavky: ukončené VŠ vzdělání v oboru astronomie a astrofyzika
Pracoviště: ASÚ AV ČR Ondřejov, s občasnými pobyty v ISDC středisku projektu INTEGRAL ve Versoix, Švýcarsko.

Studium bílých trpaslíků v rámci ESO - volné pracovní místo
Astronomický ústav AV ČR, v.v.i. vypisuje výběrové řízení na místo vědeckého pracovníka v oboru astronomie a astrofyzika – fyzika hvězd (nástup od 1. ledna 2009). Tématickým zaměřením je především studium bílých trpaslíků. Kandidát musí být nositelem titulu PhD v oboru fyzika nebo astrofyzika. Postdoctoral Position at the Astronomical Institute
Astronomical Institute intends to open four temporary postdoctoral positions. The subjects are: solar and stellar astrophysics, velocity fields in active galaxies, processes in nuclear regions of accretion discs, orbits of asteroidal satellites. Astronomický ústav AV ČR, v. v. i. vypisuje výběrové řízení na místo vědeckého pracovníka (s 50% úvazkem, nástup možný od srpna 2008) v oboru astronomie a astrofyzika – kosmická fyzika. Tématickým zaměřením je modelování fyzikálních podmínek v kosmickém plazmatu. Kandidát musí být nositelem titulu PhD v oboru fyzika nebo astrofyzika.
