The Internet Application of the Digital Photo Archives of Institute of T. G. Masaryk, in custody of Masaryk Institute AS CR, has been developed in cooperation with the company Bach Systems s.r.o. Olomouc in 2004. In the same year photographs from Edvard Beneš collection became accessible to users with the assistance of the same company.

In 2005 the application of the system was expanded by the possibility to search other personal collection (specifically photos from papers of J. Smutný). In 2006 its English version was introduced. A visual form was arrranged and linked with other personal papers and collections in 2009.

It is assumed that in the future the digital Photo Archives will be regularly expanded.
