How to get there

The Institute is located in the city of Ceske Budejovice, about 160 km south of Prague. The Institute's home town can be conveniently reached by approximatelly 2 hours jurney from Prague by either train or bus. Alternatively, you can use the train connection from Austria (Vienna - Veseli nad Luznici -Ceske Budejovice or directly Lins-Ceske Budejovice).

Places to visit

The city of Ceske Budejovice has 700+ years old history and well preserved town center with many buildings originating from 15th and 16th century.

The beautiful castle Hluboka nad Vltavou is located only 12 km north of Ceske Budejovice.

Holasovice, enlisted by UNESCO, represents a typical example of so called "rural baroque" architecture. The village is located approximately 15 km southwest from Ceske Budejovice.

The historical town and castle of Cesky Krumlov also at the UNESCO list is located 20 km south of Ceske Budejovice.

The well preserved Cisterian monastery in Vyssi Brod dates from the 13th century. The approximate distance from Ceske Budejovice is 35 km.

Another ancient monastery Zlata Koruna is located only 15 km south from Ceske Budejovice.
