Institute of Mathematics

of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic

The Institute of Mathematics, founded in 1947, is the leading research institute for mathematics outside the university structure in the Czech Republic. The Institute performs advanced research in mathematics and theoretical computer science, collaborates intensively with other academic institutions in the country and worldwide, contributes essentially to sustaining the high level of mathematical research in our country, transfers modern mathematical knowledge, thinking, and methods to society via applications and education.
