Abstract: Chromosome sorting using flow cytometry simplifies the analysis of complex genomes by dissecting them to small parts. As DNA of flowYsorted chromosomes is intact, they are suitable for a range of applications including the construction of largeYinsert subgenomic DNA libraries, physical mapping using PCR, targeted isolation of molecular markers and molecular cytogenetic mapping.
