Abstract |
Despite their discovery in the early 1960ies, rare-gas compounds form a fascinating topic in chemistry. Inspired by our recent discovery that gaseous dications can serve as superelectrophiles which enable the generation of new rage gas compounds in the gas phase, the scope of this new approach for Rg-X coupling reactions will be explored using modern mass spectrometry in conjunction with ab initio theory. The project includes mission to European synchrotron facilities and thus requires the willingness for traveling. |
