Development of crystal growth technologies using the technique of Czochralski, homogeneous crystals growth conditions for PbWO4 and for the tungstates of alcaline earths AWO4 (A = Ca, Sr, Ba); defects in crystals; growth of doped crystals, growth conditions for PbWO4 single crystals doped at a high level (several percents) by rare earth elements; growth of non-stoichiometric PbWO4 single crystals and study of their absorption and emission centers.  The full text >>

Preparation and study of powder materials and ceramics based on some hafnates and aluminates, pure or doped by rare earth elements (Ce, Pr, Eu, Tb) and by some other dopes (Pb, Bi). The starting powder materials are in case of the hafnates (SrHfO3, Lu4Hf3O12) prepared via reaction in the solid state at higher temperatures, the lutetium and yttrium garnets (Lu3Al5O12, Y3Al5O12) are precipitated from solutions.  The full text >>

Methods of synthesis of the liquid crystals having the rod like form molecules and equipped with alkoxypropionate or alkyllactate chiral ending. Study of influence of the lateral substitution by the groups CH3, OCH3, Cl, Br, or F on the occurrence area of the phase SmC*. Synthesis of the non-chiral liquid crystals composed of the bent-shaped (bent-core, banana shaped) molecules. The synthesis of the photosensitive liquid crystalline materials the molecules of which contain in their mesogenic core a double bond of the stilbene type or an azo group.  The full text >>

The synthesis method development of the chiral monomers with the liquid-crystalline features which have a terminal double bond, an acrylate group, or terminal hydroxy groups. In cooperation with other groups within the frame of the project COST preparation of grafted liquid crystalline polymers of siloxane, acrylate or urethane types.  The full text >>
