- Identification: S2060104 - Grant Agency of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic
- Duration: 2001 - 2006
To achieve the objectives of the project the following research activities are assumed:
- to transform the verified research methodology for the observation of the soil water regime to the operational methodology of the early warning system in the short-time scale (floods);
- dtto in the medium-time scale (changes of the soil water regime, biodiversity, biodegradation);
- o quantify the water balance of a soil profile (evapotranspiration, surface runoff, outflo below the soil profile, etc.), to identify the principal attributes of the soil water regime; numerical modeling of the local soil water system responses to individual rainfall events in order to describe and quantify the different behavior of hydrological systems;
- experimental research based on the long-term monitoring in the head water regions (national Parks ©umava and Krkonoąe Mts., Jizerské hory Mts.);
- a determination of soil hydraulic properties (laboratory experiments and inverse modeling).
