TopicStudy of the phase structure evolution in polymer blends by methods of electron microscopy
AnnotationBlends of immiscible polymers comprise a substantial part of polymer materials and are formed also at recycling of plastic waste. Properties of polymer blends are determined by their phase structure which can be controlled at their mixing and processing in molten state. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to better understanding to the phase structure evolution with its study by the methods of electron microscopy and rheology. With respect to interests of an applicant, the accent can be put either on improvement of structural model of the morphology evolution, based on rheological properties of the blend components, or on development of methods of the morphology determination by electron microscopy, eventually by other methods.
