Interaction of Electromagnetic Fields and Dynamics of Controlled Energy Conversions in Electrical Engineering

The activities will be aimed at theoretical and experimental research in perspective ways of electric energy conversion applicable to modern drives, generators, apparatus, and other technological equipments. The problems of interactions among electromagnetic, mechanical, thermal, and other systems and their control structures as well as their working media will be solved simultaneously in quasi– and hard coupled formulations with respect to parameters and characteristics of individual parts of the whole system. Principles of non–linear dynamics will be applied to determine the system characteristics. We will also analyze the influence of unfavourable accompanying effects on the efficiency of processes, on the reliability of devices and the environmental aspects and will search ways of their elimination. The result will be a complex methodology of solution and optimization of energy conversion processes leading to their deeper understanding and to utilization in particular applications.
