Institute of System Biology and Ecology: Spatial and functional dynamics of biological, ecological and socio–economic systems interacting with global climatic change

Spatial and functional dynamics of biological, ecological and socio–economic systems interacting with global climatic change

The objective of the proposed IRP is focused of the environmental studies which are regarded as the natural–social system, developing in the space and time. The principal part of the IRP can be identify as an intentional shift from the observation of the "maintenance of ecological equilibrium state"to the "dynamics of natural systems" studies. Natural systems are characterised by their spatial and functional dynamics, which is possible simplify as the flow of energy, mass and information. The global change impact is regarded as a not only important environmental factor, but its can be regarded as an impulse for new biotechnologies application. The objective of the proposed IRP can be found in the target interconnections between systems biology and spatial ecology approaches, application and development of new biotechnologies until the level of socio–economic analysis.
