TopicStudy of changes in the phase structure during annealing and cooling of immiscible polymer blends
AnnotationThe phase structure of immiscible polymer blends is, besides of their mixing, strongly affected also their annealing and cooling. The size of dispersed particles grows during annealing of polymer blends as a consequence of their coalescence. Its course, however, is not fully understood and satisfactorily described. The blend structure changes till the blend components do not pass to crystal or glass state. The size of dispersed particles can be affected by the course of crystallization. This effect has not been studied so far. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to better understanding and description of the coalescence at annealing and cooling of polymer blends by its study with microscopic and thermodynamic methods.
