Prague Meetings on Macromolecules 62nd meeting - 21th Discussion Conference and 9th International Conference ERPOS

Electrical and Related Properties of Polymers and other Organic Solids

Prague, Czech Republic: 14 - 18 JULY 2002

INSTITUTE OF MACROMOLECULAR CHEMISTRY

ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

SCOPE

The conference continues in the tradition of two series of meetings: Prague Meetings on Macromolecules, organized since 1967, and the international conferences Electrical and Related Properties of Organic Solids (ERPOS), held since 1974. The present meeting will provide an interdisciplinary forum for scientists working in the field of molecular and polymeric materials with emphasis on their electrical, photoelectrical and optical phenomena. The objectives are to achieve international cooperation of researchers both in academia and industry and to stimulate growth in the field of organic materials for electronics and photonics.

TOPICS

Molecular materials:
molecular crystals, liquid crystals, organized structures, macromolecules and supramolecules, nanostructures, organic conductors.
Properties:
Electrical properties, charge carrier generation, transport, trapping and recombination, photoelectrical phenomena, electronic processes at interfaces, electroluminescence, molecular electronics.
Optical properties, nonlinear optical phenomena, photorefractivity, optical switching, solid-state photoreactions, photoinduced molecular reorientations, data recording and storage.

MAIN LECTURES

To date, the following distinguished scientists have accepted the invitation to present main lectures:

SPECIAL LECTURES

About twenty special lectures (20 minutes each, additional 5 minutes for discussion) are to be presented at the Conference.

If you wish to present a special lecture, please submit a brief outline along with the preliminary registration card to the P.M.M. Secretariat not later than 17th December 2001. Those whose proposals will not be accepted will present their contributions as poster communications.

PANEL DISCUSSIONS

Two plenary discussions will be organized.

POSTER COMMUNICATIONS

Two poster sessions are planned (75-100 minutes each). The number of posters is not limited. Detailed information on the format of posters will be given in the Second Circular.

PUBLICATION

Summaries of main lectures, special lectures, and poster communications will appear in the Programme Booklet. Full texts of main and special lectures will be published in a special volume of Macromolecular Symposia.

GENERAL INFORMATION

You find detail general information at http://www.imc.cas.cz/sympo/ginfo/index.html
