Veena Srinivasa is a recent graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA. She received degrees in Public Policy and Sociology, and her education focused primarily on women’s issues and education policy. Veena has experience in various governmental and non-governmental institutions, including the U.S. House of Representatives and the Annenberg Institute for School Reform. She is a visiting research scholar at the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences from September 2004 to June 2005, supported by a Fulbright grant. She is conducting research on the political influence and organizational strategies of women’s NGOs in Prague and the Czech Republic. Her research explores intersections of feminism and activism in Czech NGOs.
