Transformation of Elite in the period of emergence Přemysl-dynasty state (10th c.). Relations between selected burial grounds from the end of 9th and 10th c. to the hillforts

The project is aimed to analyze and present the material from the burial-grounds inside (Klecany II) or outside important early medieval hillforts (Roztoky-Žalov I, II-Levý Hradec, Klecany I) and try to find their relations. There are graves with spurs, silver and golden jewellery indicating the ruling elite in these burial-grounds.The entire archaeological and environmental evidence will be analysed and the data (incl. magnetometry, aerial photography, trial trenching, paleobotany, paleopatology, DNA bone tests and RFA tests) processed and studied in relation to other sites of the period, especially in the teritory between Levý Hradec and the Prague Castle. In the case of not well known hillfort Klecany will be reconstruct the origin and new role of the hillfort in the histrorical context of 10th century Bohemia. Analysis of burial grounds will allow the formulation of new hypothesis about social stratification of the burial grounds. Total we want publish about 320 graves.
