Winter does not support the growth of mushrooms with sarcous fruiting bodies or sporocarps but we can watch mushrooms with hard fruiting bodies, e.g. polypores, during that time of the year. The author presents some polypore species parasiting on trees, such as Ganoderma spp. and Phellinus spp.
