Department of Optical Sensors carries out research and development of optical sensors with special emphasis on evanescent-wave fiber optic sensors, long-period fiber grating sensors and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors for detection of chemical and biological substances and analysis of biomolecules and their interactions.
