Digitization of the Works of Jan Amos Komenský - J. A. Comenii Opera Omnia

The purpose of this research project, supported by the Science Foundation of the Czech Republic (GAČR), is to facilitate modern, effective research with the editions of Komenský´s treatises which have been published by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in languages of the originals since 1969. All texts will be made accessible through an electronic text database enabling not only a full-text search, but also the creation of concordant lists or filtering according to the requirements of users. At present, all published texts have been transformed into the form of an electronic text and are used in this form at the Institute of Philosophy. In cooperation with Masaryk University in Brno, the database using the language XML is being created at the present time. The emerging corpus will be located on local computers at the Institute of Philosophy of the ASCR and subsequently it will also serve registered Internet users.
