Programs

The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI) offers Masters- and Doctoral-level programs in Economics and Applied Economics, as well as a study abroad program. 

 

MA/PhD in Economics

The PhD program consists of two years of coursework followed by two years of supervised dissertation research. The working language of the institution is English. CERGE-EI encourages its students to conduct part of their dissertation research at partner institutions in Western Europe and North America, as well as to participate in collaborative research projects in other countries. After completing the two-year coursework, students earn an in-process Master of Arts degree.

 

Masters of Applied Economics (MAE)

 

The MAE program: 

  • grants a U.S. MA degree,
  • takes 12 months to complete,
  • leads to well-paying economist jobs,
