Within the scope of the Grant Agency of AS CR there are 9 Department Councils grouped into three areas:
Department Councils I: Mathematics, Physics and Earth Sciences
Department Councils II. Life and Chemical Sciences
Department Councils III. Humanities and social sciences
and Department Council for Interdepartmental Projects.
Complying with the GA AS Statute, the Department Councils reelect annually at least one third of their members in by-election. The composition of the Department Council as indicated above corresponds with the results of the by-election from April 2009, verified by the election committee, and discussed and approved by the GA AS Board of Directors.
