Pravidelné semináře pořádáme jednou měsíčně (říjen–červen, zpravidla první pondělí v měsíci) od 13 hod v seminární místnosti pracoviště Ondřejov. (archiv seminářů)
Dále pořádáme menší semináře jednotlivých oddělení:
Semináře slunečního oddělení
Každé úterý v 12:45 (září–červen, s výjimkou úterků po celoústavním semináři) v zasedací místnosti slunečního oddělení pracoviště Ondřejov.
05/04/2011, 13:00Full-disc telescope for ESTAbstract: The conceptual design of the 4-m European Solar Telecope (EST) is in its final phase. Our institute, together with the Institute of Plasma Physics is developing the Auxiliary Full-Disc Telescope (AFDT). It will be used for the orientation of the observer on the solar disc, for an easy guidance of the EST main telescope to a selected target, and for precise coordinate measurements. AFDT will also be used as an autonomous robotic telescope for synoptic observations and records of fast solar activity phenomena (flares). The concepts of the optical system, mechanical structure, and the control system are described.
Zářivě-(magneto)hydrodynamické semináře
Zpravidla 1x za 14 dní ve čtvrtek od 11 hod (říjen–červen) v zasedací místnosti slunečního oddělení pracoviště Ondřejov.
17.3.2011, 11:00Ondrejov ObservatoryProblems of the NLTE 1D modelling of the filament observed in H_alpha, Lyman_alpha and the higher Lyman linesAbstract: For a longer time, we are trying to make the simple NLTE 1D modelling of the prominence observed on May 27, 2005 by SoHO/SUMER in the complete hydrogen Lyman line series including Lyman_alpha and in H_alpha by Ondrejov HSFA2 spectrograph. Observations of Lyman lines and H_alpha were not co-spatial neither co-temporal. Therefore we created a method for transformation of the H_alpha data to time and slit position of Lyman line observations using the full-disc H_alpha observations of Big Bear Solar Observatory. We are not able to fit well both Lyman alpha profiles (especially in their reversed core) and H_alpha profiles at the same time. This can be explained by the fact that effects of 2D radiative-transfer become important for the Lyman alpha line (in difference from higher Lyman lines and H_alpha) as large optical thickness of its profiles in wide wavelength range makes possible contributions to them from large interval of geometrical depths.

26. 04. 2011, 10:00Albert Einstein Institute, Max-Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, Potsdam, GermanyUsing numerical relativity to explore fundamental physics physics and astrophysicsAbstract: Recent years have seen a major progress in numerical relativity and the solution of the simplest and yet among the most challenging problems in classical general relativity: that of the evolution of two objects interacting only gravitationally. I will review the results obtained so far when modelling binaries of black holes or of neutron stars and also discuss the impact these studies have in detection of gravitational-waves, in astrophysics, and in our understanding of general relativity.(Takes place at: Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Praha-Troja)
