About the seminar

Dr. Raj Chari is a leading scholar in the comparative analysis of legislation on lobbying. He is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science at Trinity College in Dublin, and is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Madrid Institute for Advanced Studies. The seminar will have two main parts. In the first, Dr. Chari considers the countries in the world that have implemented lobbying laws, theoretically classifies different regulatory environments, and situates the different countries within such environments. In the second section, he considers the impact of lobbying legislation on lobbyists, politicians and citizens.
