The Department is responsible for the optimal management of the projects which are supported by Operational Programme Research and Development for Innovation. It is predominantly about the implementation of the projects ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) and HiLASE (High-average power pulsed LASErs) and about the preparation of the project Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer. ELI will focus on the research of ultraintensive secondary sources for science and society in physics, chemistry, medicine, biology and material science. HiLASE will focus on the technological development of the new generation of high-repetition high-powers lasers with industrial characteristics.
