Research Competitions

Since 2000, the GDN has provided substantial funding to CERGE-EI to help foster empirical, policy-relevant development research by individuals and institutes in developing countries. These funds are intended to strengthen the regional development networks that form the core of the Global Development Network.

We are pleased to announce that the Call for Proposals for the 12th annual CERGE-EI/GDN Regional Research Competition (RRC) has been published. Proposals must be sent to Prague no later than July 1, 2011. For full details, please download the Call for Proposals document via the link below.

CERGE-EI has been very fortunate to benefit from the expertise of 200+ reviewers in each round of the competition. In particular the Vienna Institute for Economic Studies (WIIW) has been extremely generous each and every year since the competition's launch.
