The goal of the joint project is to study unusual and unexplored phenomena in the propagationof EM waves in (i) magnetic and
(ii)nonlinear structures. We expect that the results obtained will yield additional insight into the properties that may give
rise to (a) new mechanisms allowing tunability of the stop bands, and (b) to controllable transmission and direction of propagation
in the frequency regions in which left-handed (LH) medium becomes transparent.
