X-ray structure analysis

The team of x-ray structure analysis is specialized in determination of atomic structure of crystals and in development of crystallographic computing methods. The main experimental source are x-ray diffraction data but the computing methods can be applied also to data from neutron or electron diffraction. The team develops program Jana for calculation and interpretation of modulated, composite or generally complicated crystal structures. The team has world-wide collaboration with many reaserch teams and solves structures of wide range of materials, from inorganic compounds to large organic molecules. In the field of modulated and complicated structures the team provides consultancy and training by mean of workshops.
