Head:
In the area of systems for signal generation, transmission and
processing, main research topics include metrology of time and
frequency, radio-communications, optical communications, speech analysis
and synthesis, and electromagnetic field properties of living cells.
Time and frequency research focuses on precision time transfer and
frequency stability measurement. In communications, research is focused
on broadband digital and spread spectrum radio communication systems,
optical burst-switched networks, transmission of high-bit-rate data over
standard single mode fiber links, and network architectures for
metropolitan area and/or regional and access networks involving optical
as well as radio technologies. In speech synthesis area, research effort
is focused on development of methods and devices for text-to-speech
synthesis.
