The Press and Publications department fulfils the Institute’s publication needs. It is responsible for the publication of work and materials prepared by the Institute of Sociology AS CR and its researchers and for public relations and the presentation of the Institute’s activities. The department is primarily engaged in publishing and editing work, which includes preparing three regular periodicals for publication: Sociologický časopis/Czech Sociological Review, Sociologické studie/Sociological Studies, Historická demografie (Historical Demography). It also publishes information and other publications issued by the Institute of Sociology AS CR.
Sociologický časopis/Czech Sociological Review
Sociologický časopis/Czech Sociological Review is a peer-reviewed journal of sociology cited in Current Contents/Social&Behavioral Sciences (CC/S&BS) and listed in the computer database of Social SciSearch, in regular bulletins of Research Alert, and in publications of the Institute of Scientific Information (ISI). The journal is issued 6 times a year (4x in Czech, 2x in English). The price in the Czech Republic is 75 CZK (4 EUR, 4 USD), and an annual subscription costs 450 CZK. Historical Demography
This publication presents a collection of essays in the field of historical demography and sociology, focusing, for example, on population development, population history, and methods of research in historical demography. The volume is published once a year in Czech, and occasionally issues are also published in English, French, or German.
Gender — Equal Opportunities — Research
This peer-reviewed journal is aimed at effectively correlating research and contemporary issues relating to the position of women in Czech society. It is published twice a year.

SDA Info is published biannually as a peer-reviewed scholarly journal in the social sciences that is devoted to studies on data sources, infrastructure, information technology, and other infrastructure of social research, data analysis methods, studies based on the analysis of social data, and the application of advanced data-analysis methods.

A peer-reviewed journal published biannually by the Centre for Public Opinion Research that focuses on the area of public opinion research and research results, with special emphasis on the wider interdisciplinary context and the contemporary relevance of topics.

This series of working papers presents the results of the projects carried out by the researchers and research teams at the Institute of Sociology AS CR.
