Address by the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Professor Rudolf Zahradník at the 15^th Assembly of ASCR held on December 14^th, 1999

Professor Zahradník presented the report on the Academic Council ASCR development since the last Assembly in April 1999. He focused his attention further on general problems of the current state of science and social life in our country.

Mr. Pavel Tříska from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics gave a lecture on the topic: "Research of outer atmosphere of the Earth by means of satellite Magion"

Pavel Tříska´s team was awarded ASCR Awards for the excellent work in a very important scientific area.

Speech of Professor Martin Potůček, First Vicepresident of Research and Development Council of the Government at the 15^th Assembly of ASCR

Professor Potůček presented the governmental proposal of the National policy in the area of research and development and further steps in the area coordinated by the Research and Development Council of the Government.
