The Institute of Thermomechanics AS CR, v. v. i. collaborates with universities and other scientific institutions by means of the following joint laboratories:
Laboratory of modeling of physical and chemical processes in atmosphere has been established as a joint laboratory of the Institute of Thermechanics AS CR and the Institute of Physical Chemistry with the aim to conduct research into physical and chemical processes in the atmosphere and other environmentally relevant phenomena.

Laboratory of optical measurement methods has been established as a joint laboratory of the Institute of Thermechanics AS CR and the Technical University of Liberec with the aim to conduct research into flow dynamics using advanced measurements methods.

Laboratory of tissue biomechanics has been established as a joint laboratory of the Institute of Thermechanics AS CR and the Technical University of Liberec with the aim to conduct research into metabolism and structural changes of bones and blood-vessel walls under dynamic loading.
