LIBRARY
Nowadays the library provides information services especially to the
employees of the institute, but in fact it is opened also to other people,
mainly through interlibrary circulation and reprographic services.
Besides the classic information services it provides also services based
on modern information technologies. In addition to the printed sources
it offers to all users professional databases, enables online access to
magazines and other informations on the internet, provides search in
specialized databases. Since 1985 it also processes automatic evidence of
the published works of employees of the institute (ASEP).
The book stock of the library comprises around 17 thousands book and journal
volumes mainly in English, Russian and Czech. It includes a collection
of leading foreign magazines from the field of electronics, optoelectronics,
physics of solids, radio engineering and computer technology. Some titles
are unique in the Czech republic.
