The main aim of the Department of Audiovisual Technology is to assist the ASCR and its individual institutes in the effective utilisation of audiovisual technology. It provides consultative and advisory services. It ensures videoconference connections, video broadcasts and e-learning via electronic networks.
Particularly it hence:
- provides counselling, methodological and consultative assistance to the workplaces of the ASCR in the area of audiovisual technologies
- operates a production audiovisual studio for the needs of the workplaces of the ASCR and administers the archiving of its production
- ensures the technical operation of the facility of the Information Centre of the AS for Innovation multi-media hall and other entrusted conference halls of the building of the ASCR in Národní třída
- ensures the methodological supervision of the equipment and operation of the audiovisual technologies of the CAO
- seeks opportunities for development and utilisation of modern audiovisual technologies for the needs of the bodies of the ASCR, Head Office of the ASCR and the CAO
- in cooperation with the DIT ensures online and offline video broadcasts via computer networks (internet, intranet)
- in cooperation with the DNA provides videoconference connections for the needs of the bodies of the ASCR, Head Office of the ASCR and the CAO
- within the side activities of the CAO provides free capacity for the provision of services to interested parties also outside of the ASCR
