The Fellowship of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic for Foreign Specialists Engaged in Bohemistic Studies

The Fellowship of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic for foreign specialists in the Bohemistic field (hereinafter Fellowship) seeks to encourage and support research in the Czech cultural heritage and promote its wider knowledge in the world, to facilitate and intensify the cooperation of Czech and foreign scholars who study the Czech cultural heritage, especially the Czech language, literature and history, but in particular the field of cultural history. The Fellowship is designed to provide funds for study stays and research work to Bohemistic scholars from abroad.

Applications for the Fellowship, after consideration by the Scientific Council of the respective Institute (after 1 January 2007 by the Institute Council), are submitted by directors of host Academy Institutes (using the attached application form). Applications have been received since 1 March 2006. The decision on granting the Fellowship shall be taken by the President of the ASCR on the recommendations of the Vice President of the ASCR responsible for the Social Sciences and the Humanities, the President of the Council for International Affairs of the ASCR and the President of the Council for the Economy of the ASCR. The Institute shall be notified of the decision to award or not to award the Fellowship no later than 30 days from the submission of an application.
